Jolanta Rudzka Habisiak
Jolanta Rudzka Habisiak was born in 1958. She studied at Władysław Strzemiński State Higher School of Fine Arts in Łódź (at present Strzemiński Academy of Art, Łódź) where in 1985 she obtained a diploma in the Studio of Tapestry. Presently she is a professor, the head of the Studio of Innovative Objects for Interior, Carpets and Tapestry in her alma mater.
She has taken part in over 160 collective exhibitions – Polish and international; she organized 27 individual exhibitions, the last one was held in Casa Natale di Raffaello in Urbino, Italy in 2014. She creates objects and installations, she concerned with fiber art, designing rugs and carpets, but also with activities based on graphic and the authors techniques. She is the winner of many prestigious awards for her unique creations as well as for the collections of industrial and hand-made rugs. She is a member of American society Friends of Fiber Art International with its headquarters in Chicago. Currently she holds the position of the Rector of the Academy for (in the period of 2012-2016).
