Born in Kutno in 1960, he currently holds the position of associate professor and the head of the Woodcut Techniques and Book Art Studio at the Faculty of Graphics and Painting of the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts Łódź. His main fields of interest are graphic art, book art, drawing and painting. His works have been presented on 32 solo and 250 group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He has been granted many awards for his artistic achievement in the field of graphic art and book art on international and national competitions.
He participated in the International Printmaking Conference Impact 4 - Kontakt in Berlin and Poznań – 2005, Impact 5 in Tallin in 2007, Impact 6 in Bristol in 2009 and Impact 8 in Dundee – 2013.
In 2013 Dariusz Kaca was granted the scholarship of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute within the framework of the ‘Polish Culture Around the World’ programme.
He took part in the 1st Mokuhanga International Conference in Kioto, 6-12.06.2011 and 2nd Mokuhanga International Conference in Tokyo 10-14.09.2014.
He held the position of artist in residence in Evora, Portugal within the framework of an award granted on the 5th Festival of Printmaking in Evora (28.07 – 10.08.2011).
